The Rebel - All Solid Spruce/Mahogany Concert Ukulele (Double Cheese) w/Bag

You can really sink your teeth into the new stunning Double Cheese concert ukuleles from The Rebel. The solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides give this uke a great sound, but part of what makes it stand out is it's simplicity.

The Double Cheese has no binding or fancy cosmetic detail except for the geometric-esque fret dots. You are paying for a well finished concert ukulele made of good select woods with good hardware and one strum really brings that home. This Ukulele is loud and clear without being too ferocious like some spruce top ukes.

Phil and I fell madly in love with Rebel at the 2019 NAMM show and we were delighted to be able to share the Rebel experience with our colleagues and customers when opening the delivery for the first time. There isn't a bad or mediocre ukulele in the range - just well made instruments you will want to play every time you open the bag.

This wonderful concert is just as you would like a spruce top ukulele to be; very loud when required and superbly responsive when you want to play quiet fingerpicking style. It never sounds harsh or sibillant as some spruce topped ukuleles can - it retains its fullness of sound, and sustain, all the way up the 17 frets without any kind of drop off. Very impressive!

Sure, the bag is a bit flamboyant and won't be to everyone's taste - but at least you'll always know where you put your Rebel!
