Snail are a brand which are relatively new to the UK. Our first batch was eagerly anticipated, having seen the quality of the samples. And it did not disappoint! The styling of the range is very good, the materials used are good, and the finishing appears to be excellent. Considering these points, as well as the very good quality of sound and the fact that they come with free gigbags, we would have to say that they are class leading instruments at their price points.
This model is all solid Acacia, which not only looks stunning but sounds fabulous as well. It is one of the easiest instruments to hold and play owing to the very well thought out and engineered bevelled bottom bout, which reduces pressure on the lower arm whilst holding it, and the scoop cutaway which allows access to the top frets.
Strung with Worth Brown strings, the sound is very clean and balanced, with nice warmth to the bass and good crispness in the treble. All in all, very good value and as good to play as it looks!
