Kiwaya Ukuleles are renowned worldwide for producing faithful reproductions of famous Martin Ukulele models. Crafted in Japan, the quality of the instruments they produced has wowed players for 100 years and this new deluxe model the KPT-5K takes inspiration from the extremely rare deluxe Martin 5K Soprano Ukulele and incorporates it into a very modern feeling and sounding Tenor Ukulele.
The KPT-5K does a great job of using the popular Players series specs such as a slightly chunkier Hawaiian style neck shape, wider 37mm nut width, cleaner poly-gloss finish and an Ebony fingerboard (with uniquely positioned Abalone dots).

Firstly lets talk about the wood. Kiwaya have used master grade flamed Koa on the top, back and sides which not only looks exquisite and picturesque but sounds wonderful with some chimey highs and tight, confident lows when you pick that C string! Sometimes the pretty ones can sound a little bit stunted but this is a real pageant queen that can dance, sing and dazzle. A really charming Tenor Ukulele that wouldn't look out of place coming off of the Kanile'a production line whilst retaining all of the intense attention to quality control that the Japanese manufacturers like Kiwaya, Takumi, Sumi, TODA and Seilen are revered for.
