The GL6 is a hybrid instrument that was developed to bring the convenience of the ukuleles size with the chord playability that guitar players love. This instrument has a unique Super Tenor body in combination with a 20 inch Baritone scale joined at the body on the 16th fret with 22 frets total. The tuning of this wonderful instrument is “A D G C E A” or the same tuning as a guitar with a capo at the fifth fret. The volume and resonance that projects from this instrument is phenomenal for its size. Something about the clever touch and release Kanile'a bracing system really comes into play on one of these.

All solid koa construction makes for a beautiful sound, full and luscious but well defined, with bags of sustain. This model has been upgraded with Ebony fixtures and fittings which help increase volume and sustain, and also helps to avoid complications with the new CITES restrictions on Rosewood.

A better guitalele you will really struggle to find. Top, top class!
