Here we have a really cool Rick Turner renaissance compass rose tenor ukulele in beautiful solid sycamore. It is stamped 05 and 48 on the end of the headstock - 05 for the year of manufacture (2005) and the serial number (48). It is in really good condition for its age, with only a few small marks to the body. It has not been gigged or played out much at all. Solidly a 9/10.

It is stunning to look at - the sycamore looks very much like lacewood, and it has that shimmering holographic look to it, so the pattination seems to change from every angle.

The sound is on the mellower side of the spectrum so do not expect the trebly attack of koa or spruce, more like the relaxed smooth creamy sound of mango. But, it has a very good dynamic range so gentle picking comes out nice and clearly, whist strumming sounds full and very satisfying.

We removed the non-functioning original pickup, and replaced it with a much more modern and less clunky rechargeable MiSi pickup, so you are gig ready!
