Preowned Ohana TK-70-6 All Solid Spruce/Mahogany 6 String Tenor Ukulele w/Slotted Headstock

The 6 string tenor ukulele from Ohana is a real treat - one that I wasn't expecting! There are so many 6 string and 8 string ukuleles out there nowadays that sometimes it can be hard to stand out. So, when I came to open the box for the first time and try an Ohana TK-70-6 6 string I must confess that for a moment I wasn't that inspired. I was so wrong, because this thing is great!

Firstly, it's very loud but not at all shouty like many 6 string ukuleles. It stands out massively from the other ukes competing for your attention as you read this (probably the usual suspects from Kala, Baton Rouge etc). It looks unique with a walnut bound soundhole rosette on the spruce top but it also sounds unique. When you strum this uke it's like you're playing a piano and you find yourself trying out chords just to hear how this ukulele will interpret them!

The slotted headstock manages to remain fairly lightweight and well balanced with the body and the 6 strings work very harmoniously with the slightly wider 38 mm nut width. Thank you Ohana for once again re-imagining the weird and wonderful world of the ukulele in your own way!

This used model is in 8/10 condition. There are a few signs of having been played and a couple of chips in the binding, but besides that she's a real peach! It also comes shipped in a really nice padded TGI extreme gigag.
