aNueNue S3 Solid Mahogany Top Soprano Ukulele with gigbag

This beauty is part of the new Hawaiian Dream series from aNueNue. I am really impressed with everything about this uke at the price - the neck feels really intuitive, the solid top makes a crystal clear, balanced, warm and luscious sound, the build quality is as good as it gets, and the gigbag it comes with is lovely. There is not really a lot to moan about!

It is a step up all round from the all laminate U1 soprano, although that at under £100 is quite extraordinary value for money. Fingerpicking this is a real joy, reminiscent of much more expensive soprano ukuleles in the way that you get nice sustain up at the dusty end of the fretboard without too much drop off in the volume and clarity of the notes. And strumming is quite effortless, the sound leaping out with too much vigour.
