USED Romero Creations Pepe Romero C-M Signature Solid Mahogany Concert Ukulele in gigbag
This is another very clever instrument from the Pepe Romero stable. Although a concert size instrument with a standard 15" concert scale, it has the sound and dynamics of a tenor. You can see that they have made the body deeper, and enlarged the bottom bout to give extra richness and power to the sound. And the choice of solid mahogany helps to fill out the bass response to make it sound very much like a tenor, but with concert scale feel.
In the hand it feels very special indeed; nice and light, and you can see from the fit and finish that time and care was taken over its construction. It has that little bit of magic sauce, this one.
You can see the man himself, Daniel Ho, playing one of these on his YouTube channel, here.
Video does not show actual instrument. Photos show actual instrument you will get. This one is in 6/10 condition, with many dings and dents, and lots of signs of being played and loved. Do not purchase this expecting cosmetic perfection! The photos show quite a lot of the major marks. Only buy this if you want to save hundreds of pounds on the price of a new one (currently £599, but going up a lot on the next shipment) and want to continue to play loud and proud, as it is obviously used to.
