Details

The Big Island bass ukulele is a great looking bit of kit! This is a good, heavyweight instrument with real bass mojo. Quite the heaviest ukulele bass models that we've ever stocked, it feels solid and pretty indestructible in the hand. It has a nice wide neck as well, so if you want to slap, tap and pop you have all the space to do so.

The magnetic pickup gives a really authentically bass guitar kind of sound. Banish thoughts of the low woody thump you get with hollow body uBass type instruments, and think more of a brighter, more contemporary tone. There is a tone control on board, so you can dial in more or less treble as you see fit, but you will not dial the sharper attack that you get out of the sound.

The one shown in the photos is a good representation of average - each one will vary a little in appearance, so contact us for photos of current stock if you wish.
