The Pono baritone ukulele brings really something extremely rare to the table here. It's an enlarged baritone by Pono that sits somewhere in size between the normal baritone body size and the big baritone. This model has an all solid mahogany body with a satin finish, which lends the sound some mid-range bite and a lovely pronounced treble.

It has the body of Pono's terz guitars but retains the baritone scale length and the four string DGBE tuning with nylon strings one would want from a baritone. It can do a lovely warm bluesy or jazzy sound, with that nice piercing effect you want for lead playing up the neck. Fantastic!

If you play baritone or just want that slightly larger voicing and body shape this is the one for you. Before you ask, it probably would take the baritone GCEA strings but you would lose almost all of the Barry White vibes this instrument is capable of producing along the way.
