Details

This Kanile'a baritone ukulele comes with Island inlays, a fitting reminder of just how beautiful the Hawaiian Islands are and a visual match for the gorgeous sound this Koa produces. Kanile'a have always made instruments of exceptional build quality and sound, using the finest of materials. Baritones in particular seem to be a real specialty for this company who utilise a very special and unusual 19'' scale length for their baritone ukuleles.

The new TRU-R bracing system is lighter and stiffer, and allows each instrument to resonate more, and for longer. The result is a more complex tone, with richer harmonic overtones, sustain which goes on and on, and increased volume, certainly at the shorter scale lengths like soprano and concert. On the large size instruments like tenors and baritones it creates something quite literally indescribable. Gorgeousness is the closest word.

This one is spotlessly well finished, with Kanile'a's UV cured high gloss finish, and exquisite Island inlays in abalone on the soundboard.
