The Pono baritone ukulele brings really something extremely rare to the table here. It's an enlarged baritone by Pono that sits somewhere in size between the normal baritone body size and the big baritone. This model has an all solid Acacia body with a Cedar top and a gloss finish, which lends the sound some mid-range bite, projecting beautifully via the Cedar top whilst retaining the natural deeper breathier sound of an acacia baritone.

It has the body of Pono's terz guitars but retains the baritone scale length and the four string DGBE tuning with nylon strings one would want from a baritone. It can do a lovely warm bluesy or jazzy sound, with that nice piercing effect you want for lead playing up the neck. Fantastic!
