What you are looking at right now is an utterly sensational concert
Oulcraft ukulele. This pristine instrument is not one you're going to forget in a hurry, as it pushes the limits of what you expect from a ukulele, especially at this price.
The very best Japanese and US techniques for making ukuleles have been brought together by Oulcraft's stellar team. The family trio have a real talent for design, craftmanship and experience that has really caught our attention. Jungtae started the Oul studio in 2011, following his experience working under the tutelage of Seilen and Imua master luthier Shinji Takahashi, building custom T's Guitars. Seyoon, Jungtae's wife, is a design master, with extensive design history across a variety of industries. Hyuntae joins Jungtae, his brother, in the workshop to create these sensational ukuleles.
Oulcraft ukuleles remind us of Kanile'a, AnueNue and TODA, with the flavours and sensibilities of smaller companies like Sumi, Barron River and Pete Howlett. We are delighted to be Europe's first Oulcraft dealer and to be able to join them on a new voyage of Ukulele design as the company hits it's second decade.
The Soul model is an absolute triumph. Engelmann spruce and mahogany are a fantastic combination of woods and the ukulele flows and works harmoniously. Rarely do you hear such a wide tonal range from a
concert ukulele but Oulcraft seemingly have a knack for them. It's so easy to get swept up playing this uke. In recent years, Rebel and KoAloha's Opio line have taken centre stage for players wanting a professional spruce top ukulele under £1,000 but this is the perfect alternative. The neck is more slender than both of its competitors instruments with a slightly more user friendly 36mm nut width.
