Kiwaya KTT-2 Tenor Ukulele All Solid Mahogany made in Japan #1789
Kiwaya ukuleles are built as light as possible for tone and projection, and are modelled on the vintage Martin models. The craftsmen in Japan pay close attention to details such as intonation, action, playability and cosmetic appearance. The result is extraordinary - these vintage vibed beauties sing with a volume and clarity that is astonishing, but with that lovely warmth of mahogany.
Many people replace the black fluorocarbon factory strings on Kiwaya ukuleles in an effort to brighten up the instrument and increase the volume but the fitted Fremont strings capture the vintage tone perfectly.
Look up Kiwaya and you will be stunned at how many people speak of the incredible quality and attention to detail of these fabulous ukuleles. If there is a nicer sounding mahogany tenor ukulele for under £1000, I would be extremely surprised.
