Details

The build, finish, sound and look on this Kala Tenor ukulele is class leading at the price. All solid mahogany on the top, back and sides gives this beauty a very full, sweet sound, with harp like tones in the lower mids and bass (especially when a low G string is fitted).

The KA-SMH-T replaces the well known and loved KA-SMHT model in 2022. Still made from solid woods, this concert ukulele can handle any kind of playing style. Finger picking sounds really poised, with great sustain applied even to notes played up the fretboard. Strumming releases a very balanced, unmuddy sound which you can drive very loud without any kind of distortion at all.

In the hand, it feels very familiar. The 35mm neck width is standard Kala from their entry level laminates to the high end such as this, so if you are trading up from a KA-T or similar, you will not have to readjust one little iota. Just revel in the lovely sound and let it take your playing to new heights!
