The Blackbird Farallon ukulele takes its name from the islands off the coast of San Francisco and we love them! The Farallon is the first tenor crafted from ekoa which gives a powerful, vintage tone. This is a high-performance material made of natural linen fiber and bioresin. It's temperature and humidity stable and is far superior to old-growth woods. Ekoa is lighter with an ecological composite, which gives this tenor ukulele a unique soundboard.

This Farallon ukulele comes with a hollow neck that has a small soundhole in the headstock. The player will appreciate this, as they'll get a real earful of the sound coming from their uke. Having a hollow neck increases the overall vibration too. Conventional ukuleles suffer with dead spots and wolf notes as the neck and the body vibrate at different frequencies. You don't have that problem with the Blackbird Farallon.

Plus, this instrument comes with a whole range of special features as standard. You get aluminium side dots on the neck, a radiused fretboard and Blackbird's new satin finish at cost. Finished in this way gives the instrument a tactile, silky smooth look. It resonates like nothing we've ever played before. It's clean, crisp and has wonderfully distinct highs and lows. We love it so much, it gets to sit at the top table with tenor ukuleles from other specialist manufacturers.
