Big Island - Honu KXXX-SPS Curly Koa Deluxe Soprano Ukulele

The famous Big Island Honu (Turtle) model with the beautiful Honu design headstock and bridge. I think you'll agree that the Koa is exceptional on this model - huge and deep flaming and figuring to the wood, and the gloss really heightens the effect. It makes it quite difficult to photograph, mind - so reflective - so if you see little lighter spots in the finish please be aware that these are just lights, not marks in the wood!

The sound is powerful and sounds very Kanile'a like with the Aquila Super Nylgut strings although a set of Fluorocarbons could really ramp this bad boy into 5th gear. The perfect Uke for someone truly appreciative ofa nice warmth from Koa. In the hand you notice just how ergonomically designed the neck is, really slim and easy to play for easy fretting of even the most troublesome Eb minor 9th.
