I absolutely love this Ohana pineapple ukulele. There are not too many pineapple shaped ukuleles on the market at the moment, but for the life of me I do not know why! Like the Vita shapes, they seem to make the very most out of the greater expanse of the top available to vibrate. That gives them a really full and luscious sound.
Spruce is probably the best all round wood for fretted instruments too. It sounds warm and clear in the bass, rich in the mids and crisp in the treble. All those characteristics are in abundance here.
The only drawback is that it might not fit into some of the tighter fitting soprano hard cases. But, it goes very well into the Boston superpacker soprano gigbag or the Ohana UCP-21 case.
