This product will clean sweat and skin from wound bass strings, and help make your unwound treble strings slinkier and easier under the fingers. If you have a particular squeaky wound bass string that you otherwise like in terms of its' sound and balance in the rest of your setup, then swiping a little of this up and down it before you play will not only extend its' life, but make it less squeaky as well. It is formulated so that it will not damage your fretboard at all.
