INSTORE WORKSHOPS AND PERFORMANCES 2020

It's that exciting time year again where we begin to announce our free Saturday Instore performances and workshops of 2020... In previous years we have been lucky enough to host workshops with many of the Ukulele worlds biggest household names. The likes of international stars James Hill, Aldrine Guerrero, Aaron Keim, Del Ray, Victoria Vox, Craig Chee and Sarah Maisel have all shared wisdom and performed in store. We have also hosted many excellent events with Ukulele stars from the UK like Phil Doleman, Ben Rouse (Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain), Peter Moss, Steven Sproat and more... This year we hope to announce more great international names but lets get the ball rolling with two fantastic upcoming events from UK names you may be familiar with.

SATURDAY MAY 16TH 2020 - 2PM-4PM - Blues Ukulele Workshop with Adam Phillips & Alex Beds (SUS's very own Alex and Phil)

Adam Phillips is one of the key men behind the scenes at the Southern Ukulele Store. Known affectionately as 'Phil'; Adam is an established live performer with a passion for teaching Guitar and Ukulele. His workshop focuses on Blues Ukulele teaching students the basic tools for improvisation constructing melody and lead playing over the classic Blues framework. Hopefully by the end of the hour, you will even feel comfortable enough to improvise in front of the class if you want to?

Backing Phil up is our shop manager Alex most well known for fronting our Youtube channel reviews and NAMM show coverage who has more than 15 years live performance experience himself - A small performance by Alex and Phil's duo 'Hummingbird and the Crow' will close out this Saturday event.
