Gotoh UPT-UBB Black/Black Button Planetary Ukulele Tuners - set of 4

The better the Ukulele, the more important the Friction/Geared machine heads become in relation to the instruments weight, sound, sustain and it's ability to stay in tune.

Gotoh's UPT planetary ukulele tuners were designed by Yusuke Kawakami to blend classic looks with modern functionality. Used and recommended by many note worthy Ukulele aficionado's including Blackbird on the Clara, Martin on the 'Iz' Uke and AnueNue on the '1879'. In short - These Machineheads look like Friction tuners but are actually Geared tuners.

The Gotoh Planetary tuners have 1:4 Gear Ratio and share a lot more functional similarities with geared tuners meaning they will rarely need tightening. 

These Machineheads need a hole 9.7-10mm long to fit and vintage Ukuleles will often require minor work to make these tuners fit. They are designed for headstocks 10 - 12mm thick. For thicker headstocks, use the Gotoh UPTL longer shaft tuners. Please measure your instrument carefully before ordering.
